Medicare and dental coverage

Medicare, the federal health insurance program for seniors aged 65 and older, does not typically cover routine dental care.

Medicare Part A may cover certain dental services if they are required for a medical procedure, such as tooth extractions before radiation treatment for oral cancer. However, coverage for routine dental check-ups, cleanings, and fillings is usually not included.
